Clean-up related to this weekend’s snowfall will continue through the overnight hours. A 10-person Public Works crew will continue snow removal in the downtown area starting at 10:30 p.m. tonight through 6:30 a.m. tomorrow, February 13. At this time, it is anticipated that snow removal in train station parking lots will occur during the overnight hours of February 13 into February 14. As such, commuters are advised that snow piles will still be present in these areas tomorrow, which may reduce the number of daily fee parking spaces available on Tuesday.
As a reminder, it is the responsibility of residents and property owners to keep the sidewalks in front of their homes and buildings free of both snow and ice at all times for pedestrian safety. Snow and ice must be removed within 48 hours of snowfall ending. Please remember to shovel a three-foot perimeter around fire hydrants and a path to the hydrant from the street, which will allow quick access in the event of an emergency.
