Public Works crews and contractors are currently wrapping up snow removal operations and are expected to be off the roads by 6:30 p.m. At that time, the trucks will be cleaned and restocked, and crews will get a bit of rest before reporting back to work around 10:30 p.m. to prepare for tonight’s expected snowstorm.
Forecasts are currently calling for anywhere between 1 and 5 inches of additional snowfall in our area beginning around midnight and ending around noon on Sunday. As with any snowfall, our crews will begin clean-up operations on arterial roads and major connector streets before addressing smaller neighborhood streets and cul-de-sacs and courts. Please understand that the roadways in Naperville tomorrow morning will not be completely clear; they will be slushy and snow covered, and motorists are asked to exercise caution when driving.
Due to anticipated break between the completion of snow removal operations and the start of the next snowstorm, there will be no 9 p.m. communications released tonight. We will begin communicating necessary information beginning at 9 a.m. tomorrow based on how the storm materializes overnight.
