The current temperature in Naperville is 22 degrees. Lake effect snow began falling around 10:00 p.m. last night and continues to fall in the area. City drivers have been salting overnight and will continue to salt all major thoroughfares and neighborhood streets prior to the morning commute. The heaviest snowfall is expected to end by mid-morning with the potential for snow showers or flurries later in the day. Final totals for the area will average between 2 to 5 inches. City crews will continue to monitor road conditions throughout the day. Winter driving precautions should be exercised at all times when driving City streets.
